Why bother with the fragile and touchy multi-disc carbon/carbon clutches that cost 5 times as much?! This baby has held both T2 (820 FWHP) and T4 (996 AWHP) through all of their repeated world record track runs!Īdd a lightweight aluminum flywheel for a complete upgrade package! This is strictly strip or road course and its all business! With a 943 ft/LB capacity, this full-metallic iron compound solid hub clutch will grab and not let go of just about anything you can push through to the wheels. The SPEC clutch kits are complete install kits including the pressure plate and disc, as well as a new throwout/release bearing and disc alignment tool.

Sprung hubs help absorb some of this friction and smooth out the engagement. The higher up the stage chart (further down the list) you go, the more aggressive (grabby) the clutches get - "grabby" being the distance your foot/pedal travels from the time it starts to engage to being fully engaged. Daily drivers that never see a track and those that make occasional trips to the track will be better with the lower stage clutches, and probably a sprung hub disc to easy on pedal/clutch engagement feel. Think about what your driving habits are, and take a look at the various options available here. Many aftermarket clutches end up with a very heavy pedal pressure, making driving an utter workout on the left leg! Not so with the SPEC clutches - the pedal pressure on the AWD VR4/TT clutches is barely more than stock. They offer a wide range of clutches to suit almost any need, from daily commuters to track monsters! One great feature they have over many other aftermarket clutches is the engineering that goes into their pressure plates.
